Summary

In March 1964, a pilot reported seeing three green flares fading into purple. The sighting occurred at 9500 feet, lasting only three seconds. The object was moving in a direction of 275 degrees, at an elevation of 45 degrees above the horizon. Although recorded as an aerial observation, witnesses concluded it was not a UFO, but likely flares or artificial lights. The exact location of the incident was in the Atlantic, near the coordinates 10°55'N 75°04'W.

The description of the phenomenon is clear: three bright points resembling flares that quickly faded. Despite the brief sighting, details such as apparent size (1/8 inch in diameter and three inches long at arm's length) and precise location were recorded. The report was transmitted by phone by an airline and confirmed by Ramey Air Base. Although no photos were taken, the pilot's testimony was enough to classify the event as flares and not an unexplained phenomenon.
