🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In April 1964, a woman in Clovis, New Mexico, observed a luminous object shaped like a cone, whose base appeared as a fireball. The object, traveling westward, was seen for about 4 to 5 seconds and crossed more than 150 degrees of arc. The observer described the ball as white and the cone as silver, with a length six times the diameter of the ball. Although other explanations such as balloons or aircraft were considered, investigators concluded it could have been an astronomical phenomenon, possibly a meteor. The sighting was recorded by Cannon AFB, and while there was no confirmation of simultaneous sightings, the characteristics matched those of meteors.
