Summary

In April 1964, a pilot of a KC-130F reported an unidentified flying object 50 degrees above the horizon. Seen through a sextant, the object had a round shape with a tail extending behind. Its color was similar to stars, but its movement clearly distinguished it. The observation lasted about 10 minutes and was recorded under hazy conditions, complicating altitude accuracy. Although a balloon was considered, it was not confirmed definitively.

In addition to the UFO, the pilot reported seven vessels in a curved formation and two unidentified aircraft maintaining a constant relative position. These aircraft disappeared visually but remained on radar for five additional minutes. The estimated speed was around 500 knots, raising more questions than answers. The report concluded the UFO could be a balloon with a payload, but other explanations were not ruled out.
