🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In April 1964, an aerial observer reported a bright white object, with the size and brightness of a first-magnitude star, moving from west to east. The sighting occurred at a very high altitude, and the object was observed for four minutes, decreasing in altitude from 25 degrees to 15 degrees. The event took place at coordinates 35.28N 176.40W, near the Spring Triangle constellation, an area of the sky that includes Vega and Denebola.
Military officials concluded the object was not a balloon, aircraft, or known astronomical phenomenon, but likely a satellite. Although no photos were taken, the report was distributed to multiple agencies, including the CIA, indicating it was considered noteworthy. The official message classified it as "another satellite," but the nature of the sighting remains intriguing for UFO researchers.
