🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In May 1964, a farmer in Munhall, Pennsylvania, observed a luminous object descending from the sky. He described an intense light, similar to a large fluorescent bulb but much bigger and brighter, accompanied by a sizzling sound. The object came from the northeast, passed over his house and a maple tree, and landed in a nearby field. The witness, along with a young man, attempted to approach but retreated out of fear it might explode.
The object was described as about 6 to 8 feet long and wide, with a blue and white glow and an orange-burning bottom. Although investigators concluded it might be a meteor or a decaying satellite, the witness insisted it was much brighter than any shooting star he had seen. No physical evidence was found, but the experience left a lasting impression.
