🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In May 1964, over the Pacific, two aerial witnesses reported yellow lights. A commercial airliner observed two moving lights, while another saw five stationary ones. Although balloon, aircraft, or astronomical explanations were considered, investigators concluded these were flares or military ordnance. At the time, marine aircraft were dropping flares and ordnance, which were visible up to 70 miles away. This case, though not conclusive, shows how unidentified aerial phenomena often have conventional explanations.
