🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In May 1964, an egg-shaped object was observed in New Jersey. It was described as bright, turning from red to yellow, and a sound similar to an engine starting was heard. The object moved straight across the sky, initially appearing to hover before heading west. Witnesses compared it to light reflected on a star, creating confusion about its nature.
Military authorities investigated and considered the possibility that it was the Echo satellite or a Navy P2V aircraft with a spotlight on the wing tip. Despite detailed observations, no clear conclusion was reached. The report mentions favorable weather conditions and an observation duration of 10 to 20 minutes. The lack of photographs and the unique nature of the event left many questions unanswered.
