🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In May 1964, a witness in Tipton, Indiana, reported observing a white object that changed to pink and red. The phenomenon was seen for 30 minutes, with movements including hovering and a gradual flight northward. The sighting occurred at a 60-degree elevation in the west. Although various explanations such as balloons or aircraft were considered, investigators concluded the object might be related to the ECHO I satellite.
The report includes testimonies from multiple observers and weather data indicating clear conditions. A state police officer confirmed the sighting, and an Air Force officer, Carroll L. Morrison, suggested the object's path matched that of ECHO I. Despite investigations, no photos or radar data were obtained, leaving open the possibility that the object was unconventional.
