Summary

In May 1964, a radar in Southeast Asia recorded an unidentified aerial object for nearly 40 minutes. The object appeared at ranges of 29 to 70 miles, with bearings between 280 and 330 degrees, and showed a speed of approximately 150 knots. The radar signal had heavy interference, making identification difficult. Although balloon and astronomical explanations were ruled out, the report concluded it was an aircraft, though its origin remained unknown. The case was shared with multiple military and intelligence agencies, including the CIA.

The object was observed near the coordinates 34°N 164°E in the Pacific, and its course varied constantly. Although it disappeared from radar at the end of the tracking, the aircraft could not be identified. This type of report, though not classified as a UFO, was common at the time and reflected concerns about unidentified objects in airspace.
