🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In May 1964, a civilian observer in Mount Vernon, Virginia, reported an unusual unidentified object. The object, described as a small oval with a bright white glow brighter than the brightest star, appeared near the moon and moved around it for 15 minutes. It then rapidly moved westward, split into two particles, and eventually faded from view. Despite the extended observation and detailed description, investigators could not classify the object as a balloon, aircraft, or astronomical phenomenon. The enigmatic nature of the case makes it a compelling example of unexplained aerial phenomena.
