In May 1964, personnel at Glasgow AFB in Montana observed a bright irregularly shaped object resembling an automobile headlight. Two separate groups reported the same sighting—one near the theater and another on the barracks roof. The object moved slowly toward the horizon and changed in intensity and color, from a bright white to a faint orange. Some witnesses described a pendulum-like motion.

The duration of the sighting varied: one group observed it for 40 minutes, while the other followed it for over two hours. Although Venus and Regulus were initially considered, the object's characteristics didn't fully match either.
