🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In May 1964, a military observer in Clovis, New Mexico, reported an unusual aerial phenomenon that remained stationary in the sky for 35 minutes. The object emitted a bright, clear light with no visible trail or sound. Despite multiple civilian and military sightings, the Air Force concluded it was likely the planet Venus, though the varied descriptions suggest that nighttime observation and lack of visual references complicated accurate identification.
Witnesses described a radiant, planet-like glow with no movement or exhaust. Although no physical evidence or radar confirmation was found, the event was observed from different positions and elevations. The official investigation categorized it as an astronomical event, but the unusual nature of the sightings leaves room for doubt.
