🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In May 1964, a witness in Gagetown, New Brunswick, reported a white star-like object with a red light beneath it in the sky. The object was moving east to west at a medium altitude and an estimated speed of 500 knots. Although an aircraft was considered as a possibility, there was not enough data to confirm this. Investigators concluded that the information was insufficient for a definitive evaluation, leaving the mystery unresolved. The report was shared with several military and intelligence agencies, including the CIA.
The case was officially recorded as part of Project 10073, a system for tracking aerial sightings. Despite the lack of photographs or radar use, the civilian testimony was accurately documented. The message sent by the U.S. Air Force indicated the report was of interest to multiple departments, including the Canadian Navy and Army. However, the lack of concrete data meant the phenomenon could not be classified as a balloon, aircraft, or astronomical event.
