Summary

In June 1964, a 14-year-old girl in Crystal Lake, Michigan, witnessed an unusual aerial phenomenon. While studying at a cottage, she heard a loud noise followed by a bright flash. Ten minutes later, the sound returned, this time with a clear musical note and intense volume that forced her to cover her ears. A large circular object appeared above the lake, illuminating the water and surroundings with a blinding light. The object moved north at low altitude, maintaining a steady shape without additional noise.

The subsequent investigation revealed that the area was being used for night infrared photography missions. These aircraft, equipped with noisy turbines, were performing rendezvous maneuvers over Crystal Lake. Although there were no photos or additional witnesses, the evidence points to a military aircraft as the most likely explanation.
