🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In 1964, a witness in Clairton, Pennsylvania reported an unusual aerial phenomenon. He observed a luminous sphere with an antenna-like object rotating counterclockwise. After a few minutes, the sphere split into three crafts, then into eleven discs forming a vague "V" shape. The Air Force analyzed the case but couldn't identify the object due to poor image clarity. The observer, an amateur astronomer, took a photo with a Cyclone 1178 camera, but the negative showed marks and flaws that hindered analysis. The official response concluded there was not enough clarity to determine the object's nature.
The report includes several photos and a detailed photographic analysis. It suggested the image could be a reflection or a light source through a window with imperfections. Despite assumptions, no definitive conclusion was reached. The case was deemed insufficient for evaluation, and the negative was returned to the witness. The testimony also includes a similar observation in May of the same year, with multiple witnesses supporting the description.
