Summary

In June 1964, three young men in Cincinnati observed a luminous object in the sky that caught their attention due to its irregular movement. The first sighting occurred at 12:35 AM, when they saw a light the size of a bright star moving in the SSE to NNW direction. The object then changed direction, moving from SW to NE and disappeared. When they reported to the authorities, they were told it might be a rocket, but the young men insisted the flight pattern was atypical.

The observations continued at 2:30 AM and 3:50 AM, with the same object appearing at different heights in the sky. Despite attempts to photograph it, the object moved too quickly or hid in the moon's glow. Eventually, the authorities confirmed that what was observed was the ECHO II satellite, whose passage coincided with the reported dates and directions. Although initially mistaken for an unknown phenomenon, the case was resolved with satellite data.
