🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In July 1964, a witness in Chicago observed a luminous object crossing the sky. The report describes a bright point that appeared about 52 degrees above the horizon, moving northeast. The observer, using a 50% telescope, noted that the object changed direction and speed, making it harder to follow. Initially resembling a satellite, its unusual behavior suggested intelligent control.
The witness described the object as a glowing sphere with a yellow-white light that dimmed to a bluish hue. The object did not blink or turn off, and its shape did not resemble a conventional plane or satellite. The report concluded the object was likely an artificial satellite (ICIO II), but the witness did not rule out the possibility of intelligent control.
