🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In July 1964, a civilian in Cleveland, Ohio, reported seeing a reddish object moving at high speed. The observer used binoculars and described a smaller red light traveling ahead of the main object. Initially thought to be a satellite, the official report linked it to a high-flying aircraft due to the westward motion and heavy air traffic in the area. The Foreign Technology Division of the Air Force evaluated the case and concluded there was insufficient data to rule out conventional explanations.
The file includes several letters from the witness and official responses, noting that no photos or physical evidence were collected. Despite this, the witness insisted the object was unusual and requested a quick reply. Eventually, he was informed it was likely an aircraft, but the case remained open due to a lack of returned information.
