🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
A 1944 report describes the observation of an unidentified object in the Pacific with surprising characteristics. It was seen for 4 minutes from a position at 47°29'N and 169°55'W, at an elevation of 60 degrees. The object had the size and brightness of a first-magnitude star, moving very fast from south to north at an extremely high altitude. Although balloon and aircraft explanations were ruled out, the data was insufficient for a clear evaluation. The report was classified as "Other 2nd Class", suggesting an unusual observation without a definitive explanation.
