In 1954, several countries reported sightings of unidentified flying objects. In France, two residents of Saint Maxant observed a cone-shaped object with red and green lights, while in the Pyrenees, hikers saw a cigar-shaped object moving rapidly. In Sweden and northern Norway, witnesses described bright spheres with tails and objects flying in V-formation, which could not be identified as conventional aircraft. In East Africa, cities like Saint Arnaud and Setif reported objects with smoke trails and unusual shapes, including a rectangular one seen for over 30 minutes. These cases, collected by the CIA, show a variety of shapes, colors, and behaviors that had no clear explanation at the time.
