A 27-year-old man had a strange experience on the night of September 5, 1964, while hunting in the woods near Sacramento, California. Lost and sheltering in a tree, he observed silent, moving lights and saw two humanoid figures, about 1.5 meters tall, dressed in white suits. These beings did not speak but made dove-like sounds. Later, robotic objects emitted toxic gas, causing him to feel ill. He shot arrows at one robot and retrieved a damaged arrow. To alert authorities, he burned parts of his clothing and dropped them to start a small fire, which caused the visitors to leave. Despite the terrifying experience, the man remained stable and was medically evaluated without anomalies. The Air Force concluded the encounter was of psychological origin.
