🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In September 1964, Boston witnessed multiple sightings of unidentified flying objects. Most were attributed to an advertising plane with an illuminated banner, but some witnesses described a mysterious object with unusual characteristics. An MIT engineering student and friends observed an elliptical object making sharp turns and accelerating vertically without noise. Others reported blinking lights and unusual shapes, causing confusion and debate. State police concluded many sightings were misleading, but some witnesses insisted they saw something different. This case illustrates how advertising planes can be mistaken for UFOs, but also suggests there was at least one unexplained sighting.
