🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In September 1964, several police officers in Kent, England, reported the sighting of an unidentified flying object. The observation occurred at 4:50 AM on September 12th while the officers were traveling towards Essex. The object was described as very bright and moving in a northerly direction. Although no photos were taken and no physical evidence was found, the witnesses considered the sighting genuine, ruling out optical illusions. The report, however, lacked essential data, making evaluation difficult.
The case was reported by a private investigator, Malcolm Munro, who tried to obtain more information but faced official resistance. In a letter to the US, he requested collaboration to analyze the sighting, highlighting the reliability of the witnesses. Despite the limitations, the case reflects the growing interest in UFOs at the time and the difficulty in getting official responses.
