In 1954, multiple sightings of unidentified flying objects reached the CIA from Sweden and Germany. In Luleå, a snowstorm prevented authorities from investigating celestial objects seen in northern Norrbotten. A witness described a silvery football-shaped object with a fiery tail of 70–80 meters. Another account mentioned a spherical object attached to a metal rod passing just meters away. In Denmark, an object embedded in the ground near Spjellerup sparked interest, possibly a meteorite or part of a flying saucer. Military assistance was provided for excavation.
In Turkey, an unidentified object was sighted over the Taurus Mountains, resembling a craft. In Germany, Düsseldorf airport employees observed a shiny object moving at high speed. A worker from an aerial advertising firm described it as a flying saucer, ruling out planes or balloons. Though unconfirmed, these cases reflected the era's concern over unexplained aerial phenomena.
