🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In October 1964, a witness in Dayton, Ohio observed an object that appeared as a bright white light larger than a star. The object remained visible for about 10 minutes and was located to the south, disappearing with the coming of dawn. Investigators concluded it was likely the star Sirius, which was in the indicated direction. The witness checked the sky the next day but did not find the object, supporting the theory that it was an astronomical phenomenon. Additionally, her husband also saw the object, confirming it wasn't a hallucination. Despite initial confusion, the most plausible explanation pointed to an observation of Sirius, one of the brightest stars in the night sky.
