🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In November 1964, an aerial observation recorded multiple green and yellow objects in the sky 75 miles northwest of Midway Island. Initially thought to be an astronomical phenomenon, such as a meteor shower, the event lasted over an hour and a half, with sightings in multiple directions. Military analysts concluded it was likely a meteor shower active in the area, specifically the Northern Taurids and Leonids, which coincided with the observation date.
Although no photos were taken and no physical evidence was found, the report suggests the event was natural. Meteor showers are recurring phenomena, and during that time of year, the Leonids reached their peak on November 17. This supports the hypothesis that what was seen was part of these showers. Despite the clear nature of the report, the description of multiple moving objects and vivid colors could have initially confused the observers.
