In 1952, Morocco became a hotspot for UFO sightings. Witnesses from various cities like Marrakech, Casablanca, and Tangier reported seeing unusual luminous objects with strange shapes, some moving at high speed and others with unpredictable trajectories. These accounts, collected by local newspapers, described everything from flying saucers to fireballs leaving glowing trails. A pilot even reported a close encounter with an object traveling at great speed. Despite the diverse descriptions, witnesses agreed that these were not natural phenomena or conventional aircraft.
The reports highlight the variety of testimonies, from ordinary people to meteorologists and pilots, who provided technical details such as altitudes and speeds. On several occasions, the objects displayed behaviors impossible for earthly objects, such as sudden directional changes or light emissions without noise. Although some tried to explain them as meteors, most witnesses insisted they were something entirely different. These documents, classified by the CIA, are a testament to how, over sixty years ago, the mystery of UFOs was already a topic of public and scientific interest.
