Summary

A ground observer spotted a very bright object traveling west on November 28, 1964, near the coordinates 13.00N 162.00W in the Pacific. The report, provided by a military source, describes the event as possibly a satellite re-entry or even a meteor. Although the observation duration was not reported and no photos were taken, the object was clearly visible. The lack of additional data such as color or detailed trajectory limited the evaluation of the phenomenon.

The official conclusion was that there was insufficient information for a definitive assessment. However, it was noted that a satellite, 1964 71A (921), decayed on the same day, which could be related to the observation. Despite the ambiguity, these historical records remain valuable for understanding how aerial phenomena were documented and analyzed at the time.
