🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In December 1964, a military observer reported an object near Iceland at coordinates 64N 10W. The sighting occurred at 04:0448Z and was described as an object moving northward. Although no photos or physical evidence were collected, the observer interpreted it as a possible satellite. The location and time of the sighting did not align with the known positions of satellites like ECHO I and ECHO II, raising questions about the object's identity.
The lack of detailed information made a more precise evaluation difficult. However, based on the observer's interpretation and the context of the time, it was considered a satellite in orbit. This case, though brief, reflects the complexity of UFO reports during the Cold War, when space surveillance was a strategic priority.
