Summary

In December 1964, a witness in Cudahay, Wisconsin, reported seeing a spherical object during a lunar eclipse. The object was observed for 7 seconds, with color changes and a trajectory from northeast to south. Although the witness mentioned the object seemed about to collide with him, Project Blue Book investigators concluded the report was inconsistent and unreliable. There was no physical evidence or photographs, and the data provided did not match a typical meteor observation.

An official letter from the military responded to the witness, explaining that while the duration and speed suggested a common astronomical observation, the color change and sense of danger did not align with conventional explanations. Additionally, during the lunar eclipse, other astronomers did not report any unusual objects, reinforcing the conclusion that the report was not credible. Despite this, the witness was assured that no unusual phenomena were observed during the eclipse.
