Summary

In January 1965, three bright objects were observed in Bethel, Vermont, over a brief period. A doctor and a state trooper, traveling by car, saw three luminous objects moving rapidly from west to east. The objects appeared one after another, with intervals of a few seconds between them, and were described as round, with an orange-red glow, similar to car tail lights. Although the witnesses agreed on the description, they couldn't determine the exact shape due to their high speed. No sound was heard, and no visible trails were observed. The investigation concluded that the objects might have been tracer bullets fired from a nearby position along the highway.

Additionally, other witnesses, including workers returning from their shift, reported seeing similar objects. The descriptions aligned on key points, reinforcing the possibility of a common, though unusual, phenomenon. Despite multiple sightings, there was no official confirmation of aircraft or military activity in the area. The investigation concluded that the objects were likely tracer bullets, though the possibility of an unknown natural phenomenon was not entirely dismissed.
