🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
A man in Pleasant Hill, Ohio, reported seeing a bright object in the sky in January 1965. The night was clear, moonless, and full of stars. The object, which varied between reddish-orange and white, had no defined shape and moved erratically. His wife believed she saw two additional objects, but the report concluded it was Jupiter observed under unusual optical conditions. The witness called the police, who contacted a tower operator who confirmed the presence of the light.
The object remained visible for 40 minutes and left no trail. It was estimated to be about 10 feet in diameter and at a height ranging from 50 feet to half a mile. Although the witness did not take photos or find physical evidence, the report suggested it was an astronomical phenomenon. The investigation concluded there was no indication of an alien craft, but rather a misinterpretation of a planet under specific atmospheric conditions.
