UFO with Three Rings Seen in Buchanan, Virginia

Summary

In January 1965, three young students in Buchanan, Virginia, observed an object resembling three stacked rings, like giant donuts. The object, white with red and green light rings, appeared at about 45 degrees elevation to the north, passed directly overhead, and then disappeared quickly to the south. The sky was clear with excellent visibility, but there were no radar confirmations or additional witnesses.

The U.S. Air Force reviewed the report and concluded that, while the children seemed sincere, the lack of physical evidence or corroborating testimony did not justify further investigation. Nonetheless, the case remains an intriguing mystery in UFO history.
