🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In January 1965, a 16-year-old in Hinton, Oklahoma, reported an unusual aerial phenomenon that initially resembled a falling star. While driving with a friend, he noticed a series of white-cream objects moving in a straight line eastward. At first, he thought it was a single object, but soon realized there were at least twelve evenly spaced entities. They made no sound and lacked the red or green lights typical of aircraft. The objects moved quickly and disappeared before others could observe them.
The Air Force concluded it was likely migrating birds, a theory the witness found unsatisfying. He conducted experiments with lights and kites to rule out other possibilities. Although no physical evidence was found, the case was reviewed by experts like Dr. J. Allen Hynek, who considered birds the most plausible explanation, though he acknowledged the clarity of the witness's account. This incident, like many from the era, reflects the blend of curiosity and mystery surrounding UFO sightings in the 1960s.
