🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
A KC-135 of the USAF reported a bright blinking object in February 1965. Pilots Captain Brown and Lieutenant Marsden described a round white light the size of a dime. The object appeared at 11 o'clock relative and quickly moved northwest. Even after accelerating their plane to nearly 0.95 Mach, they couldn't follow it. The sighting lasted about 3 minutes.
The official investigation found no conventional explanation. Civil aircraft, military tests, and weather balloons were ruled out. Both pilots were considered reliable and technically trained. The report concluded there was insufficient data to attribute the phenomenon to a known aircraft.
