Summary

In March 1965, a family in Dayton, Ohio, observed an unidentified object described as a sphere with five legs extending from the bottom. The object made no noise when hovering but produced sound as it passed overhead. Two witnesses confirmed the sighting: a son who initially thought it was a spotlight on clouds, and his mother, who later saw it making arcs across the sky. The object made at least eleven passes and appeared to head toward Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. The investigation concluded it was a KC-135 aircraft performing landing maneuvers, though witnesses didn't recognize it due to the lack of typical aircraft noise. The case includes additional accounts from other observers and weather data supporting the conventional explanation.
