🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In March 1965, a civilian in Maryland observed an object in the sky for five minutes. The witness described a solid object with sharp edges, gray in color and with a band around its center. The object moved erratically and disappeared with a flash of light. Although it initially seemed close, investigators concluded it was likely a balloon seen from a greater distance than the witness estimated. The description and behavior of the object matched typical balloon characteristics, though its sudden disappearance caused some confusion.
