🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In March 1965, Jacksonville, Florida, witnessed a bright object in the sky that attracted multiple observers. A very luminous object appeared, reported as a meteor by three witnesses and as a missile by another. The description of a blue flash added an enigmatic touch to the event. Although several aircraft observed it at different altitudes, no clear movement or shape was recorded. The duration was brief, making precise identification difficult.
The investigation concluded it could be a meteorite or a satellite burning in the atmosphere. There was no physical evidence or photographs, but the simultaneous reports from five aircraft and ground observers supported the astronomical hypothesis. The lack of radar detection and the consistency of testimonies reinforced the conclusion of a natural phenomenon. Despite the uncertainty, the case was closed without further action needed.
