Summary

In March 1965, a man in Nevada claimed to have seen a white, blurry object moving rapidly from the southeast to the northwest. Although he photographed the phenomenon, image analysis showed the object lacked defined edges and no signs of solidity. Experts concluded the image could have been caused by a drop of developer on the film emulsion, later wiped off. Additionally, the man admitted interest in selling the photo, raising suspicions about the authenticity of the case. Despite his apparent sincerity, the investigation concluded it was an attempted hoax.

The film was processed at Technicolor, though no official confirmation was possible. The man used an old camera with limited settings, making it difficult to capture a clear image of a fast-moving object. Additional tests, including microphotography and negative analysis, revealed no conclusive evidence of a real object. Finally, the film and copies were returned without official markings, given the suspicious nature of the case.
