🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
A civilian observer in Barberton, Ohio, reported in 1965 an unidentified flying object performing surprisingly complex aerial maneuvers. The report describes a circular object that appeared after a high-flying jet, executing a descending spiral followed by an ascending spiral. Although the observer calculated a speed of 46,800 mph, the lack of additional details and the observer's non-response after 90 days led to the conclusion that the data was insufficient for evaluation. The case was forwarded to multiple Air Force divisions, including the Foreign Technology Division, to request more information.
The report stands out for the precision in describing the maneuvers and the apparent ability of the object to change altitude in a controlled manner. The observer, an engineer, detailed a cool white light that varied in intensity but not in color, something that did not match what he had seen on TV or read about in the previous 12 years. Despite the formal request for more data, the case remains unresolved due to the lack of response from the witness. The document includes images and several official Air Force letters showing the interest in the case.
