A bright flaming object, described as a white disk with a tail, was observed in March 1965 over Edmonton, Canada, and other U.S. locations. Witnesses reported the object moving from northeast to southwest, emitting an orange-red glow as it approached the horizon. The phenomenon was accompanied by a loud sound that rattled windows. Some observers initially thought it might be a meteor, but doubts arose as no conventional explanation fit. The incident coincided with the orbit of a classified satellite, leading to speculation that it could be a fragment or its final booster. However, the multiple sightings and the object's size suggest it was neither natural nor a known object. The testimony of astronomer Ian C. McLenagan from the Queen Elizabeth Planetarium adds credibility to the report, emphasizing the need to investigate unidentified aerial phenomena more thoroughly.
