Summary

A witness in Omaha, Nebraska observed an intense light on April 15, 1965, shortly after sunset. The object was seen for 7 minutes and described as a bright point that increased in size and brightness when viewed through binoculars. It left a visible vapor trail, and its brightness changed suddenly, becoming very dim at times. Although it could not be seen with the naked eye during some moments, it remained visible through binoculars. The object moved east to west at a speed similar to a high-altitude jet, maintaining a constant altitude and fixed relation to the stars.

The light was clearly self-luminous, did not reflect sunlight, and its path took it from above the moon to the opposite horizon. A second witness confirmed the observation, and although there were no photos or physical evidence, the report concluded it was an aircraft. However, the described features, such as self-luminosity and sudden brightness changes, raise questions about the nature of the observed object.
