Spherical UFO with flame at McClellan AFB

A civilian observer at McClellan AFB, California, reported seeing a spherical object with a flame at the bottom on April 19, 1965. The object, traveling north, was observed for approximately 4 minutes. Initially considered a jet aircraft, it made no sound and its description did not match any known plane. The flame was significantly smaller than the sphere, and the object disappeared gradually as it accelerated. No physical evidence or photographs were obtained.
