🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In April 1965, a teenager in Miami observed a white, disk-shaped object that suddenly appeared in the sky. The young witness, who was 16 years old and interested in UFOs, described how the object came from the west, hovered for a few seconds, and then quickly ascended into the clouds. The sighting lasted about three minutes, and the object remained silent throughout. Although the official report classified it as an aircraft observation, the witness insisted the object showed no conventional airplane characteristics.
The witness, who had been researching UFOs since 1962, contacted Project Blue Book to report his experience. In his descriptions, he mentioned the object looked like a saucer, with a size he estimated to cover about half the head of a matchstick at arm’s length. Despite the report suggesting it could have been an aircraft seen from a considerable distance, the young man found no explanation for the object’s behavior, especially its ability to hover and then disappear suddenly. His testimony, though inconclusive, adds an interesting case to the history of UFO sightings in the 1960s.
