🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In April 1965, two 14-year-old boys in Richardson, Texas, observed a cylindrical silver object moving in an unusual way. The object, 30 to 40 feet long, appeared in the sky at about 1000 feet altitude, without making any sound. It first moved slowly, then stopped and accelerated suddenly to an estimated speed of 1000 miles per hour. The witnesses, members of a Boy Scout troop, insisted it was not a weather balloon or an optical illusion. The object disappeared after a few minutes, leaving no physical or photographic evidence.
The information provided was considered insufficient for a conclusive evaluation. Additional data forms were requested but not returned. Despite the clarity of the testimony and detailed description, the lack of physical evidence or images prevented further analysis. The case was filed as insufficient, but it remains an example of a serious and well-documented sighting by credible witnesses.
