🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In May 1965, a civilian in St. Augustine, Florida, reported an unidentified flying object. The object was observed for five minutes, described as very bright and fast, with changes in brightness and movement. Initially thought to be a satellite, its unusual behavior caught the observer's attention. The official report classified it as the ECHO I satellite, which was passing through the area heading southeast. However, the object showed fluctuations in brightness and suddenly stopped before disappearing.
The Air Force responded to the report, explaining that satellites can appear to stop or change brightness due to atmospheric conditions. Despite the official explanation, the object's description suggests an unusual visual experience, adding interest to this case. The testimony was processed by Project Blue Book, the official U.S. Air Force UFO investigation program.
