In May 1965, in the Philippines, several sightings of unidentified objects were recorded. One of the most striking cases occurred when two bright objects were seen moving from east to west at high speed. Thirty-five minutes later, the same objects reappeared, this time in the opposite direction, but without radar return. The lack of precise data and inconsistencies between visual observations and radar led investigators to conclude that there was insufficient information for a definitive evaluation.
Another incident involved three objects spotted through binoculars, one of first magnitude and two of second. Although initially thought to be an aircraft, the data did not align with expectations. Radar detected the objects at 22 miles, but their behavior, including a three-minute hover and erratic course changes at speeds exceeding 3,000 knots, raised more questions than answers. Finally, other objects with satellite-like characteristics were observed, but they were not identified as ECHO I or II.
