🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
A couple in Orlando, Florida, reported observing two reddish-orange lights with a humming sound similar to a motor. The incident occurred on May 13, 1965, at 14:01 UTC. Witnesses, including a civilian and military personnel, observed the object approaching from the southeast, flying overhead, and then heading northeast. Initially, it appeared as a single light, but two became visible as it got closer. Although the report concluded there was no data indicating it was not an aircraft, the speed and duration of the observation caused some confusion.
The civilian witness, a man who had previously observed missile launches, described the object as very bright and fast. A technician from Orlando Air Force Base also briefly observed it. Despite multiple witnesses, no photos were taken and no physical evidence was found. The night was clear, allowing good visibility, but the object was not identified with certainty. The case was filed without a conclusive explanation, though suspicions remained that it could have been an unidentified aircraft.
