🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In June 1965, a witness in Sturgis, Michigan, reported a luminous object with red and blue lights moving in a straight line toward the northeast. The sighting lasted two minutes and was recorded at a 40-degree elevation. Although the observer did not see the object disappear, the trajectory and location suggest it might have been within a nearby air corridor. The official conclusion points to an aircraft, possibly a USAF tanker, whose rotating beacons could match the description.
The report notes that several aircraft were operating in the area, complicating the precise identification of the object. The testimony came through a radio announcer who received calls from listeners curious about the unusual lights in the sky. Despite the lack of physical or photographic evidence, the analysis considers it plausible that it was a conventional aircraft. However, the visual description and non-conventional trajectory leave room for doubt.
