🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
An 11-year-old girl in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania, reported a UFO on July 4, 1965. The object appeared as a bright white light with edges similar to a star and blinked. It moved in a straight line from east to west at about 60 degrees elevation, without making any noise. The observation lasted five minutes, and the object disappeared behind buildings. Although initially considered an aircraft, the description and behavior suggested a more detailed evaluation.
The girl described the object as having an intermittent light at the back and an oval shape. A day later, a similar phenomenon was reported over a Portuguese village, with identical characteristics. The description matched reports from Antarctic and Chilean bases, where an object with similar movements and effects on electronic equipment was observed. However, the U.S. Air Force concluded there was no evidence the object was not an aircraft.
